So I am here talking to self and this self is planning to get out there to meet the public!
The much adored and well attended Easter Adventure will return to West Cork on Monday April 9th 2-5pm: The Magical Menigerie Trail of all things Weird and Wonderful.
Another interactive artistic and playful event for families and people of all ages. For €5 explore the mysterious world of enchantement and surprises an you walk through some of the 30 acres of wildlife reserve that is An Sanctoir wholistic centre in Ballydehob. Meet faeries, Entertain The king of spades and the Queen of hearts, Tame the Dragon and visit the Magical Menagerie to name but a few of the interactive spectacles on offer. Enjoy home baked goods at the Two Rivers Cafe and pet some friendly goats. There will be raffle prizes of local crafts and produce.
An exhibiton of the Imagenings of the Obscure Artist is planned for the Cork city DIY Festival May 14th to the 24th 2011. Venue will be confirmed in the next week!
I am also applying for the Dublin Fringe Fest in Sept.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Susy Freelove also known as Susy Cremers born in 1961 in Maine. Studied art at the San francisco Art Institute and graduated with and BFA in 1981 MFA in 1983.
Since the late 1990's she has been creating large scale interactive art events for hundreds of families in West Cork Ireland. These events would involve 30 working artists performing in costumes and installations which she designed and created out of recycled materials. Each one a unique live experience of a classic story and were greatly popular successful and enjoyable by all who partook.
In 2008 she began to focus more on her own personal work which involved the exploration of the unseen, the artists dreams, raw emotions, internal commentary and reaction to the state of the capitalistic consumer culture. with a series of works; Giraffe man, Designer Trash, inner body.
In 2010-12 She created several large panels: The Door, The relationship and the marriage of heaven and earth.
In 2011 she created "Break in" exhibition performance a video which can be watched here. over 100 people came to see it and was based on the exploration of "who is Esus?" the artist as magician. posted in June 24 2012 of this blog. Her current work in 2013 reflects a authentic artistic exploration of self, and the world as seen upside down, and the creation of stories via painting and assemblage of mixed media and found objects.

sounds like a wonderful adventure, let us all celebrate that umbrella term for mysterious forgiving love himself, and healing -with no doctors needed, jesus, and maybe take a 3 days stretch in bed in his honour, over the easter period, and a stroll through the magical lands of an sanctoir, whether in spirit or body.....
